Koch media to take on distribution services in regions

THQ shuts Spain and Italy publishing arms

THQ has shut down its publishing arms in Spain and Italy as part of its planned company-wide restructuring.

As reported by CVG, Koch Media will now take on distribution responsibiilites for the publisher’s titles in the regions.

THQ had closed its Italy offices last year following the poor performance of its uDraw tablet, whilst the Spain branch has now also been shut down.

"Following a strategic review of our operations in Spain and Italy, we were looking for a distribution partner who has the most effective networks locally to market THQ’s products," said THQ MD of European market development Annie Sullivan.

"I’m excited for the opportunities that THQ’s partnership with Koch Media represents and am looking forward to working together on successful launches of our forthcoming products."
