Tippl becomes Activision COO

Activision’s current chief corporate officer and chief financial officer Thomas Tippl is to become the publisher’s chief operating officer, the company has announced.

To facilitate the change he has resigned his position as COO, though he continues as CFO while Activision searches for a replacement.

The official filing, as spotted by Spong, also notes that Tippl is set to earn $850k a year in his new role. He will also be eligible for annual percentage salary rises as well as a yearly bonus of 120 per cent of his base salary.

On top of that the exec will receive a number of goal dependent stock options.
