Two Assassin’s Creed titles planned for 2014 – report

A pair of Assassin’s Creed titles are in development for release later this year, according to a new report accompanied by a leaked batch of alleged screenshots.

Kotaku’s report cities a number of sources,” including one anonymous individual that provided multiple screenshots of what’s been internally titled Assassin’s Creed: Unity. The images indicate a Paris setting for at least a portion of the game, and the report states the game is currently in development for PS4 and Xbox One.

Sources also claim a second game with the internal title Comet will launch on Xbox 360 and PS3. Both titles are scheduled to launch in 2014.

While Ubisoft has yet to comment on the report, it wouldn’t be the first time the publisher has launched two Assassin’s Creed titles in the same year. Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation were launched alongside one another in 2012.
