Ubisoft pledges support to Play.com live

Ubisoft has become the first major publisher to sign up to the recently announced Play.com Live entertainment show, and has guaranteed that its all-new titles for 2008 will be present at the event.

Commenting on the support, head of games at Play.com Gian Luzio said: ‘We’re thrilled to have Ubisoft on board and the announcement is a great statement of intent for the direction of the show. To have new titles on show from the publisher behind Assassin’s Creed is a massive coup and we know that this will excite the consumer.”

Ubisoft’s marketing director Jon Rosenblatt (pictured) added: Play.com Live gives us a fantastic opportunity to showcase key releases for 2008 and we are delighted to be supporting the event.”

As exclusively revealed in last week’s MCV, Play.com Live will take place on the weekend of March 15th – 16th next year, with space for over 40,000 visitors.

The firm this week revealed that tickets will go on sale on December 3rd, exclusively through the Play.com website.
