Ubisoft retains Watch Dogs trademark after fraud attempt

Watch Dogs is still in development and will still be called Watch Dogs, despite a fraud attack on the trademark today.

Eagle eyed Neogaf users spotted that Ubisoft had abandoned the Watch Dogs trademark, but this was not a move something instigated by the publisher, the firm has told MCV.

The situation is being resolved and the Watch Dogs trademark will be active shortly, the company has said.

A spokesperson said: "We are working directly with the USPTO on reinstating the trademark for Watch Dogs and it will be active again in the coming days. The matter has no impact on the Watch Dogs’ development."
