Jade Raymond wants to see mobile-specific franchises from publisher

Ubisoft Toronto working on five unannounced games

Ubisoft Toronto is working on five unannounced games, says Jade Raymond.

Speaking at SXSW, as reported by The Star, the studio head said the developer was spinning "a lot of plates", and none of them had yet been announced.

Of those five games, two are said to be co-productions with other studios, meaning three are at least being led by Toronto.

Raymond also spoke about her ambitions for mobile, and stated the platform deserved its own IP.

"A good game on those devices is different from a good game on consoles, so I definitely believe they deserve their own franchises," she said.

Ubisoft Toronto’s first game release was last year’s Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, which was received positively by press, and achieved an average metacritic rating of 82 on Xbox 360.

One of the titles the studio is currently working on publicly is Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6: Patriots, slated for release this year.
