Ubisoft unveils Grow Home for PC

Ubisoft’s Grow Home is a quirky PC title starring a plant-loving robot, set to launch in less than two weeks.

The ‘experiential vertical adventure’ (ie. Involving climbing) game is being developed by Ubisoft Reflections, the studio behind recently-released open-world racing IP The Crew and upcoming open-world multiplayer shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division.

Like those games, grow Home will offer an open world for players to explore, with the title adopting a minimalist artistic style.

The game’s narrative will follow green-fingered android BUD (short for ‘Botanical Utility Droid’) as he travels around the galaxy in search of a new species of plant that will bring Oxygen to his home planet.

As BUD, players will be able to climb on any surface, operating the robot’s hands independently.

The game is currently only confirmed for release via Steam on PC, with a launch date of February 4th.
