Ubisoft unveils Splinter Cell: Blacklist with gameplay demo

Update: Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist stepped out of the shadows a little earlier than expected, with Ubisoft revealing the game with an action-packed gameplay demo at Microsoft’s E3 media briefing.

Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, the latest in the stealth action series seems to retain many of the gameplay features from the previous game in the series – Conviction, such as the ‘mark and execute’ mechanic.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set for release in Spring 2013. More will be revealed at Ubisoft’s presser a short while from now.

Original story

Screenshots from the upcoming installment of the Splinter Cell franchise have made their way online and reveal a Middle-Eastern setting.

Titled Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, the new stealth action game is currently in development at the new Ubisoft Toronto studio.

One of the screenshots shows series protagonist Sam Fisher at a location named Mirawa, which (according to Google) seems to be in Iraq.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is set to be revealed at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference later tonight. In the mean time, you can check out the leaked screenshots at Gamekyo.
