Uncharted 3 announcement incoming?

Uncharted 3 is the latest title rumoured to be officially announced around the Spike Video Game Awards next month.

The follow-up to Sony’s popular third person action games Uncharted and Uncharted 2 will also be set in the desert, reports suggest.

Kotaku claims to have spoken to an informed source who let slip the details ahead of the VGAs which take place on December 11th.

The news follows the confirmation of a special PS3 reveal event that Sony said will take place in Hollywood on December 12th.

Both previous Uncharted games topped the charts when they were released in December 2007 and October 2009 respectively.

A host of other games and new features are expected to be announced at the 2010 VGAs next month, including a new THQ title, a mystery BioWare game and ‘unexpected’ Gears of War 3 gameplay.
