UPDATE: Borderlands 2 dated on Vita

2K Games’ Borderlands 2 finally has a firm release date on PlayStation Vita.

The publisher has confirmed that the game will launch in the US on March 18th.

There’s no word yet on a UK or European date. Friday March 21st seems like a logical guess, although that could mean a digital release on PSN on Wednesday March 19th. Or not. We’re just guessing.

We’re also yet to discover whether the game will support Sony’s Cross Save or Cross Buy system.

Sony announced at Gamescom that both Borderlands 2 and indie platform hit Fez will be making the move to its portable machine in 2014.

UPDATE 1: 2K’s tweet confirming the date has subsequently been deleted. Time will tell whether that’s because it was ‘incorrect’ or ‘off-message’.

UPDATE 2: 2K has now tweeted to say that the March 18th date was "incorrect".
