US: MS drops Elite price

In a surprise move, Microsoft has effectively cut another $50 off the price of its high-end Xbox 360 Elite – though the deal is only set to run for two weeks.

Any consumers who buy Microsoft’s 120GB machine by October 5th will be able to send off for a $50 rebate from the platform holder, effectively bringing the machine’s RRP down to $249.

Only last month Microsoft slashed $100 off the price of the machine, meaning that an Elite console currently costs $150 less than it did this time three weeks ago.

MCV has contacted Microsoft UK for comment.

US consumers can get more information on the offer here.
