Microsoft set somewhat of a trend when it broke the mold with its 2006 Gears of War trailer, and now that classic has been revisited for the game’s re-release.
In 2006 the platform holder turned heads by using the slow and haunting Gary Jules cover of Mad World for its Gears of War short. And it’s a technique that has been copied many, many times in the years that have followed.
This new version of the trailer is pretty similar to its predecessor, albeit using the game’s new 1080p and 60fps visuals.
Gears of War Ultimate Edition is due out August 28th.
