Warner reveals 1m UK LEGO Marvel sales as sequel looms

Warner Bros has revealed that LEGO Marvel Super Heroes has sold over 1m units in the UK.

Its statement comes ahead of the upcoming LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, which arrives on January 29th.

Marvel Super Heroes was the second-largest LEGO launch to-date, with 84,400 units. The only bigger launch was 2008’s LEGO Indiana Jones – which wasn’t published by Warner.

The game’s appeal is a unique blend of clever humour and high quality gameplay from TT Games, along with the universal charm of LEGO and the hugely popular Marvel Universe,” sales and marketing director Spencer Crossley told MCV.
