Watch Dogs delayed to spring 2014, needs ‘extra polish’

Ubisoft has delayed Watch Dogs, once its most anticipated games of the year and one of the more promising next-gen launch titles.

The game was initially set for a 22nd November release for current and next-gen consoles and PC, but has now been pushed back to a vague spring 2014 release window, which should be anytime from March to May.

Our ambition from the start with Watch Dogs has been to deliver something that embodies what we wanted to see in the next-generation of gaming. It is with this in mind that we’ve made the tough decision to delay the release until Spring 2014,” a statement from Ubisoft read.

And with that, the launch line-ups for both the PS4 and the Xbox One just got a lot thinner.
