Xbox 360 sales double from Kinect

The launch of Kinect has more than doubled UK sales of the Xbox 360.

Chart-Track figures circulating around the web, corroborated by MCV, show that Microsoft’s console saw a massive boost in sales this week, thanks to the arrival of its new motion controller.

Kinect was released in the UK on Wednesday, November 10th and has already sold more than one million units worldwide – with Microsoft aiming for sales of five million by the end of the year.

Microsoft’s hardware sales are also likely to have been supported by the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops, which sold a whopping two million units in just five days.

The Xbox 360 version of the game accounted for 55 per cent of all copies sold.
