Xbox digital download codes to be sold at retail

Microsoft has begun rolling out digital download offers for Xbox content at US and UK shops, including codes for add-ons and full games.

Major Nelson announces that codes for various products are already available for purchase on Amazon, and coming soon to other retailers.

We’re kicking this off with digital download codes for select map and expansion packs for franchises like Halo and Forza, as well as fan favourite digital games including Max: Curse of the Brotherhood and State of Decay,” Nelson said.

The available products are limited to just a few digital games and pieces of DLC, but expect Microsoft to expand that list if sales take off.
