Alongside the numerous other revelations that have come to light thanks to a leaked publisher document this morning, it has also emerged that Sony is considering introducing an import games area of PSN.
And furthering reports of a Western release for Yakuza 3 over the last few days, it seems that a non-dubbed version of the mafia crime sim could head up the new offering.
The indications are that titles will be localised on very basic level, with menu translations and subtitles the preferred strategy.
This would cut down the localisation costs immensely and possibly pave the way for a whole host of previously Japanese-only content heading to PSN.
Furthermore, Sony is currently negotiating for a period of exclusivity on Yakuza 3 – though the implication of this is that a multi-platform digital release for the game could still be in the works.
