Yoshinori Ono ‘hospitalised’ after promotion tour

Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono has been admitted to hospital after his physical condition "rapidly and heavily deteriorated" from a game promotion tour across Asia, Capcom has said.

The details of Ono’s condition have not been disclosed, though it is said the development executive will be out of action for an extended period. It is not known if his declining health is work related.

"I would like to bring something else to everyone’s attention. Shortly after the Street Fighter X Tekken promotion in Asia, Ono-san’s physical condition rapidly and heavily deteriorated and he had to be taken to the hospital,” read a statement on Capcom’s blog.

“Because of his hospital tenure he will not be performing work-related affairs for a while. Ono’s well-being is very important to us, and we wish for his steady recovery".
