Yu-Gi-Oh to make its next-gen debut this summer

Konami has announced a new entry in the Yu-Gi-Oh series that is heading to PS4 and Xbox One.

Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist will be a digital release on PSN and Xbox Live. Konami says that the game offers fans a nostalgic journey to the memorable world of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TV animated series” spanning every era of the brand’s universe spanning from the original to more recent branches such as Zexal and Arc-V.

Additional Arc-V content will be added later digitally, too, while many of the latest Yu-Gi-Oh cards will be included from the off.

90 characters and over 6,600 cards will feature along with a tutorial for newcomers to the series.

Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy of the Duelist is due for release this summer.

The Yu-Gi-Oh magazine debuted in the mid-1990s and has gone on to spawn animated movies, TV shows and dozens of video games, as well as of course the successful trading card game.
