Puzzle & Dragons finally arrives in the UK

One of the most successful video games of recent times is finally available on iOS in the UK.

Puzzle & Dragons, from Japanese developer GungHo Entertainment, quietly slipped onto the Apple App Store on Wednesday night to surprisingly little furore.

Indeed, there’s a chance you’ve never heard of it despite the fact that it has been achieving colossal numbers for its parent company and had 17m registered users as of July. It was released in japan way back in February 2012.

In the same month GungHo reported an annual 4,331 per cent jump in operating profits as a result of its success, with sales climbing 945.5 per cent and income increasing by 2,602.2 per cent.

All of which resulted in GungHo making a mightily impressive $4.9m per day in the quarter ending June.
