Red Faction delayed until May

Red Faction: Armageddon will now be released in May 2011.

The game was originally due in March, but has been pushed back to strengthen THQ’s next financial year. The publisher has also given release windows for some of its key core titles for the next 18 months.

MX vs ATV Alive will be released in spring while Space Marine, the publisher’s newest title from the Warhammer 40K universe, should land on shelves in summer.

As usual, the next WWE will be released in autumn, joined in 2011 by Saints Row 3. The next entry in the UFC series will be released in winter 2012 as the company steps away from annualising its franchises.

THQ’s creative organisation is delivering a strong pipeline of core game franchises scheduled for release over the next several years, positioning THQ for significant net sales, earnings and cash flow growth,” said THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell.

We continue to execute on our plan to deliver great games, market them aggressively and release them in the most advantageous windows.”
