Report: TimeGate lays off entire staff

Aliens: Colonial Marines and Section 8 developer TimeGate studios has reportedly laid off its entire staff.

Kotaku cites sources close to the matter stating that, presumably, all of the studio’s employees were informed of their termination and sent home early on Thursday. Other outlets, including Rock Paper Shotgun, have corroborated the story with their own respective sources.

The studio had previously been hit with an unspecified number of redundancies in early March.

It hasn’t been confirmed as of yet whether or not this, along with the studio’s recent bankruptcy filing, spells the end for TimeGate – but it certainly seems to indicate just that.
