RETAIL BIZ: Pokémon duo tops DS charts

Pokmon SoulSilver and HeartGold have topped the DS charts, taking first and second place respectively.

The two games are the highest placing DS releases so far this year, with SoulSilver becoming the first new No.1 in the DS charts since The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks back in December.

Before this, the only new entry to enter the DS Top 10 this year since Sega’s Sonic Classic Collection earlier this month, which debuted at No.6.

In the ELSPA GfK Chart-Track All Formats Chart, SoulSilver reached No.2 – the first DS title to place this high since Professor Layton and Pandora’s Box in September last year. HeartGold debuted in a respectable fourth place.
