Retail listings reveal Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition

Snake’s quarter-century celebrations aren’t over yet. Retailers have outed a fresh surprise from Kojima Productions.

Several online stores, including ShopTo and Zavvi, have posted listings for Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition, a new SKU for the acclaimed 2008 release.

There is some debate as to what the price will be, with retail estimations ranging from a budget 15 to a full-price 40, according to CVG.

There are also no product details, so it’s unclear if this is a straight re-release or throws in extra features and content not in the original game. It’s likely that the 25th Anniversary Edition will include the Trophies added to MGS4 earlier this year.

Konami has yet to comment on the validity of this product.
