VIDEO: Far Cry 3 story trailer released as game goes gold

Ubisoft has released a story trailer for its upcoming shooter Far Cry 3.

The publisher has also announced that the game has gone gold, meaning that production will have started on the title ahead of its November 30th UK release date.

Ubisoft told MCV last month that it has high hopes for the game, despite the fact that it arrives just a couple of weeks after Activision’s FPS behemoth Call of Duty and not long after other triple-A hits such as Hitman: Absolution.

Far Cry has always been a little bit off the map in terms of the offer that it gives,” said Ubisoft brand manager Henri Guay. People are going to continue to play Call of Duty and people are going to look for experiences that give them something a little bit different. We feel we’re in a comfortable spot.”
