Argos website issues irk angry customers

The Argos website has been rocked by problems over the past week, causing many customers to vent their frustrations online.

The site originally went offline to all customers for "just over half a day" on Tuesday October 28th, following a site revamp, according to an Argos spokesperson as reported by theBBC.

Problems persisted in the early hours of Wednesday morning last week, with the following error message being displayed to some customers, as early as 2am: "We’re currently experiencing a very high volume of visitors to our website."

Some customers took to Twitter to complain about the message during the non-peak period.
