Best Buy set to invade UK

Best Buy – the massive US electronics retail chain with a large games selection – is set for a massive expansion into the UK and the rest of Europe next year.

The news follows a deal between the chain and The Carphone Warehouse, which has sold 50 per cent of its European and US retail interests to Best Buy for 1.1 billion

A spokesperson for The Carphone Warehouse confirmed to MCV sister site PC Retail that the UK would see full scale Best Buy stores opening in 2009.
