BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea – Episode 1 dated

2K and Irrational Games has confirmed the release date of the first instalment of BioShock Infinite’s Burial at Sea DLC.

Episode 1 will be available to download on November 12th on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It’ll cost 9.99 on its own or is included with the game’s 15.99 Season Pass. A copy of BioShock Infinite is also needed.

The content lets gamers make a long-awaited return to Rapture, the famous setting of the first two BioShock games. It’ll look better than ever, too, having built almost entirely rebuilt using Infinite’s game engine.

It stars both Booker and Elizabeth in a noir-style story and a rebalanced combat mechanic that places a greater emphasis on stealth and resource management.

This is a love letter to the fans, but it’s also the beginning of a story that will give gamers a new perspective on the BioShock universe,” Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine stated.

With Burial at Sea, we built a Rapture not from BioShock and BioShock Infinite scraps and pieces, but with environments almost entirely crafted from scratch.”
