Blockbuster: PS4 pre-orders "through the roof"

Retailer Blockbuster has seen a sharp rise in PS4 orders following the events at E3 this week.

The chain last month said that pre-orders of Xbox One had broken company records. It now says that PS4 has received the same incredibly positive reaction”.

We are absolutely thrilled with the amazing response to our pre-order service for both the PS4 and Xbox One,” head of product James Morton stated. We’re looking forward to seeing the brand new consoles in our stores along with the latest games to buy or rent. 2013 has been a fantastic year for gaming at Blockbuster and its set to only get better following the announcements at E3.”

PS4 will go on sale later this year for 349.99. Xbox One will arrive in the UK this November for 429.99.
