Borderlands 2 on pace to break 2K sales records

Borderlands 2 has shipped over 7.5m copies at retail, and is on track to become 2K Games’ highest-selling title ever.

Take-Two revealed the latest figures for physical copies of Gearbox’s sequel as part of the publisher’s Q2 2014 financial results.

"Borderlands 2 has sold-in over 7.5 million units and counting, and is on track to becoming the highest-selling title in 2K’s history," Take-Two president Karl Slatoff said.

A Borderlands 2 GOTY edition launched earlier this month for consoles and PC, and the game will get another new Headhunter DLC offering next month as well.
