Catherine delayed to 2012

The UK release of Deep Silver’s Catherine has been pushed back to Q1 next year, MCV can reveal.

The bizarre action puzzle adventure game for Xbox 360 and PS3 was previously scheduled to arrive in Europe later this year. It is already out in Japan and the US.

In July, publisher Deep Silver announced it would be releasing Catherine in the UK. The game, developed by Atlus, follows the story of Vincent, a man who cheats on his girlfriend Katherine with seductive blonde Catherine, and begins having nightmares due to his guilt.

Players must guide Vincent through monster-ridden nightmares and help him solve puzzles and make moral decisions.Catherine also boasts competitive and co-op multiplayer modes.

The game currently has a Metacritic score of 83 on Xbox 360 and 80 on PS3.

A specific UK street date for Catherine has not yet been announced. It will be distributed in the UK by Koch Media.
