A true stalwart of the UK video games channel, the Birmingham distributor made its first delivery in 1982, the same year that the Commodore 64 home computer went on sale.

Since that time, CentreSoft has been an integral part of the business, linking publishers and hardware suppliers with retail, and witnessing every major milestone in the industry – from handling the launch of PlayStation One to rolling out the Sony Vita.

The company works closely with all of the major publishing brands as well as supporting retailers across all areas of the market.

The group now also includes primary business PDQ and sales and marketing function Advantage Distribution. More recently, the firm has also invested significantly in a state-of-the-art direct to consumer facility.

The foundation of our success has been a combination of great suppliers and committed and dedicated retailers,” said managing director David Neal.

Over the past 30 years we have reinvented our business model several times to ensure that we meet the ever-changing requirements of our partners. This has been critical to our long-term stability and remains at our core in striving to remain at the forefront of distribution in the UK.”

Commercial director Margaret Pearson added: It has been a privilege to play a small role over the past 30 years in supporting great suppliers and retailers.”
