Def Jam Rapstar due in November

Good news for music fans – the Guitar Hero of the Hip Hop world, Def Jam Rapstar, will ship to stores in time for Christmas.

Konami has announced a November 5th release date for Def Jam Rapstar which will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.

The publisher also confirmed a few new tracks including Outkast’s ‘So Fresh, So Clean’, Salt-N-Pepa’s ‘Push It’ and Tinchy Stryder’s ‘Number 1′. DJ Premier and Just Blaze have also provided beats for a ‘Freestyle Mode’ that encourages players to deliver their own rhymes.

Def Jam Rapstar allows users to rap along to 40 popular Hip Hop songs using a microphone. They can also record themselves using a webcam and upload their videos to the online community.

The title is in development at 4mm Games which holds the license to the Def Jam record label.
