E3 08: New IP MAG promises epic online battles

Sony has announced a brand new PS3 title from SOCOM developer Zipper called MAG – Massive Action Game – that will boast an astonishing 256 players online.

The claims are far in excess of anything ever seen before not only on console but also on PC, and could in theory revolutionise the way we think about online shooters.

Built on the success of the SOCOM series, which enjoys great popularity in the US, gameplay will see players break off into teams of eight, but taking part in massive large-scale battle.
