‘Final Clearance Sale’ happening at GAME Australia

Today, a massive sale which began earlier this week on selected titles has become what the web site is calling a ‘Final Clearance’ sale.

The sale is explicitly pasted on the front of GAME’s Australian web site, and constitutes 60% off the marked price off the already heavily-discounted range from the earlier sale.

As the clearance sale grows heavier, the second meeting of creditors is planned for 19th June, with PriceWaterhouseCoopers having previously indicated that it was by this date that GAME Australia would either have to have secured a buyer or face liquidation.

Meanwhile, reports on the administration process have allegedly leaked to Kotaku indicating that liquidation next week is indeed likely, although for the final word we’ll have to wait until the news comes from PwC itself after the meeting adjourns.
