GAME creates a robotic mascot to promote trade-ins

Retailer GAME is hoping to promote a fresh boost to its trade-in program with the creation of a new character.

He’s called TIM, which cunningly stands for Trade-In Machine. TIM is set to appear on GAME’s various online channels, as well as in-store.

With unwanted Christmas gifts taking up valuable space and the annual spring clean around the corner, there is no better time to start talking to gamers about the value that they can reap from unused games, consoles, phones, tablets and more,” GAME’s marketing and insight director Fred Prego said.

Our Trade-in propositions not only offer gamers multiple ways to pay for new products, but a quick and easy way to make money from old tech. TIM will not only help us to drive further awareness of these offerings, but simultaneously educate customers on exactly how they work, through a consistent, omni-channel campaign.”

Here he is. A bit of the BB-8 about him, you think?
