GAME trials pre-owned pre-order offer

UK video games retailer GAME has begun offering pre-orders for pre-owned versions of the latest titles, MCV understands.

It’s the first time that a UK retailer has allowed customers to pre-order a used version of a game before its released on the High Street.

News of the offer has cropped up from a number of sources online this morning, though MCV can confirm that for the time being it’s only being run on a trial basis.

Users of the GAME.co.uk website can currently place pre-orders on pre-owned versions of a number of triple-A titles such as Crysis 2, Homefront, Dragon Age II, Shift 2: Unleashed and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12.

The pre-owned versions of these games carry a release date of one week after their new arrival. Each is priced at 33.99, meaning a saving of 16 over the new RRP.
