IN PICTURES: Retail dresses up for Batman launch

Everyone may be recovering from the Modern Warfare 3 launch party, but that’s not the only game that saw retail go all out to draw in fans.

Below are photos from some of the midnight openings for last month’s smash hit Batman: Arkham City. The activity was sponsored by the game’s publisher Warner Bros.

Pictured are staff from the Canterbury, Crystal Peaks, Merry Hill and Oxford branches of GAME and HMV’s Aberdeen and Oxford Street, London outlets – all dressed up as iconic Batman characters to get fans in the mood for the Dark Knight’s new adventure.

Also below is the winning window display of Hove-based indie Tomorrow’s World, which won 1,000 in Warner and CentreSoft’s POS competition.
