Interactive Ideas withdraws from retail product distribution

It’s a sign of the time – distributor Interactive Ideas is withdrawing from retail product distribution.

However, rather than focus on the decline in traditional retail sectors the company has instead chose to focus on the growth it sees in enterprise software – that is, software and IT used by businesses and organisations.

MD Mike Trup does acknowledge, however, that the current retail environment is challenging”.

‘The past four years have seen tremendous growth achieved by our enterprise software and services business with our retail business now accounting for less than seven per cent of our total revenues,” Trup stated.

In this challenging environment for retail, we felt the time had come to move to a 100 per cent focus on our enterprise software and services business. This will free up company resources both in terms of management time and liquidity for investment in this fast growing sector.”
