JAPAN: FFXIII dated

Square Enix has just confirmed the rumours – Final Fantasy XIII will be released on PS3 in Japan on December 17th.

The game will cost YEN 8,800 – that translates to around 60, which could conceivably point to a higher than normal RRP in the UK a la Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

There’s still no word on an exact European release date beyond the spring 2010 window already indicated, though with Square’s event still ongoing an announcement is not yet out of the question.
