Konami confirms two Metal Gear Solid V special editions

We all knew that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be out on September 1st, and now Konami has detailed the two special edition versions it will have out for launch.

The date for the game – September 1st, worldwide – was accidentally leaked yesterday.

The 59.99 Day 1 Edition will include a physical map (for the physical version only, evidently) as well as five bits of DLC – the Adam-ska Special Handgun, the silver Personal Ballistic Shield, the Wetland Cardboard Box, Snake’s Blue Urban Fatigues and an online XP boost.

The Steam version of the game will also include these digital extras and will cost the same. The game will only cost 49.99 on PS3 and 360, however.

There’s also a Collector’s Edition that has the same map, a snazzy box with a steelbook, a Blu-ray documentary and a half-scale replica of Snake’s bionic arm.

There’s also a ton of additional in-game items. That SKU will retail for 99.99 and is only available for PS4 and Xbox One.

UPDATE: Note that the Steam PC version of the game won’t be released until September 15th.
