Molyneux’s Godus gets release date

Players will be able to get their hands on Peter Molyneux’s Godus from next week.

Studio 22cans is to be given a beta release for PC and Mac via Steam early access on September 13th. It will go on sale for 14.99.

Godus has been pitched a reinvention of the god genre game – a genre he himself helped establish with cult release Populous.

Remember that Godus will exist according to the whim of its god, Bryan Henderson, who in May was the lucky winner of iOS experiment Curiosity: What’s Inside the Cube.

"For a long time I’ve been excited with how the game is evolving, I already feel there is nothing in the world like Godus,” Molyneux stated. This is the type of game I have dreamt of making since first getting into the industry; having people play the beta and give us valuable feedback while doing so, makes that dream a reality."
