NASCR merges with IT body ITACS

NASCR (the National Association of Specialist Computer Retailers) and ITACS (the Independent Trade Association of Computer Specialists) are to merge into one organisation,

PC Retail

reports.

The leaders of both trade bodies hope a combined structure will help boost the firm’s capabilities, and provide a stronger representative voice for its members. Formal proposals for the merger will be put to each association at EGMs to be held on March 18th.

NASCR, which is over 20 years old, was once a major voice in the independent games retail sector but has increasingly over time shifted its focus to computing and PC retail.
