Nvidia plans more UK game events

Hardware giant Nvidia will stage more events in a bid to win over UK gamers.

It follows the firm’s recent event at Currys/PC World Gaming Bunker, which it held in collaboration with Ubisoft and Deep Silver. Gamers were able to attend and play Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Metro: Last Light and try out Nvidia’s upcoming Shield console.

And now the company is set to run its own eSports tournaments, product launches and third-party events aimed at the core gamer community.

We are now in the process of planning a continuous stream of events specifically targeted at the UK’s gaming scene,” said Jen Andersson, Nvidia PR manager, Northern Europe. We had 150 to 200 people attend our event at Currys/PC World, with fans queuing from 5am to be the first people through the doors.”
