Official: Xbox One India launch in September

The Xbox One will go on sale in India, Microsoft has announced.

The console will also launch in 25 other countries the same month, including the Middle East amd the South East Asia and Japan regions, as well as countries in Europe and Latin America where the console didn’t launch last year.

Not much more has been revealed, but the announcement post did mention that more news would be shared at a local level in April.

So Microsoft India should be breaking the silence on its Xbox One launch plans soon, although April seems a little too soon to be expecting a pricing announcement.

The Xbox One’s chief competitor, the PS4, went on sale in India in January at an MRP of Rs 39,990. The console is currently out of stock, with the second wave of shipments expected in April.
