Playlogic launches new digital platform

Dutch publisher Playlogic has launched a brand new digital distribution portal named Gamessence.com, a move that the firm believes will aid its quest to become one of the world’s leading publishers”.

The site, which is being run in conjunction with digital specialist Metaboli, promises an easy to use UI. 40 games will be available at launch, though Playlogic promises ‘hundreds of titles’ in the near future.

The initial offering includes the likes of Obscure II, Reign Over Europe and Age of Pirates.

Playlogic has taken an aggressive approach to become one of the world’s leading video game publishers,” Playlogic’s executive vice president Rogier Smit stated.



Gamessence.com presents another revenue opportunity for Playlogic, providing us with the ability to fully manage our content directly into the hands of the consumer.”

Playlogic adds that it is currently in the process of developing a number of iPhone and iPod Touch titles.
