Retail games event GamePlan announced

A brand new business-to-business event named GamePlan that is aimed directly at UK retailers is to debut on June 24th in Surrey.

The gathering comes after widespread discussions with both UK retailers and games publishers and promises to offer a business environment focusing on one-to-one meetings and an environment where titles can be seen side-by-side.

Retailers have been asking for an event like this for a while,” GamePlan spokesperson Andy Lane stated. This year, given the current economic climate, this low-cost but highly focused format means that Gameplan makes more sense to publishers than ever before.”

The invitation-only event intends to welcome 15 leading games companies and to deliver around 60 key retail personnel. Retailers will be able to attend for free, including the costs of hotel accommodation.
