ShopTo launches iPhone app

Online retailer ShopTo.net has released a downloadable app for iPhone users.

The free app allows customers to browse games, check their orders, make pre-orders and buy new products. It also includes new game trailers, reviews and a forum with 40,000 other gamers.

Users can even link the app to their Twitter and Facebook accounts.

ShopTo.net CEO Igor Cipolletta said: ShopTo.net is a great deal more than just a place to buy video games – it’s a community of gamers. That’s why we wanted our app to be a portal into that community.

We also wanted the shopping process to be as fluid as possible. We spent a long time making sure this was just right and I think the final app really shows this.”

Earlier this year ShopTo.net posted turnover of 22m and trebled its market share. The independent retailer expects to launch a digital games service within the next few months.
