The UK video games market weekly value continues to rise this week following the release of The Sims 3 and Red Faction: Guerrilla.
According to MCV calculations, based on today’s Gfk-ChartTrack/ELSPA weekly report, the UK market has hit 23.5 million for the weekend ending June 6th, a rise of three per cent. However, unit sales are down by one per cent, falling slightly to 959,166 units sold.
The result continues a string of strong performances for the UK games market, which is bouncing back following its lowest ever weekly figure four weeks ago.
This Friday Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, Prototype and EA Grand Slam Tennis are due for release, so there’s optimism this performance can continue.
