Updated: Ghost playable character preorder DLC revealed for Call of Duty: Ghosts

Update: We’ve just got word that the Ghost playable character DLC isn’t confirmed as a preorder bonus after all, and retailer Flipkart has also been directed to remove the listing for this DLC.

Original story: Flipkart has revealed its preorder bonuses for Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Simon Ghost” Riley will be available as a DLC playable character on all preorders.

Aside from the Ghost DLC, Flipkart is also offering Rs 200 cash-back, a double-sided poster, and the Free Fall multiplayer map DLC, which drops you into a shattered skyscraper on the brink of collapse”. The map will dynamically change as matches progress.

According to Flipkart, the preorder bonuses amount to Rs 1,000 in savings. Amid a trend of rising prices in India, Call of Duty: Ghosts is probably the most expensive game of all, with the PC version priced at Rs 3,899, with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions listed at Rs 4,299.

We haven’t noticed the Ghost playable character preorder bonus at major international retailers or on the official CallofDuty.com preorder page, but the game’s Indian distributor, WW CD Roms, has confirmed that the information is accurate.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is set for release on 5th November.
